Precautions for Open Mill Operation

1. When using dry oil for lubrication, sufficient lubricating oil should be injected into the roller bearings before starting the main machine.

2. The heating and cooling of the rollers should be carried out slowly while the rollers are rotating to avoid deformation and breakage of the rollers. When using the plasticizing machine, the roller temperature is relatively high. Before heating, a certain distance should be left between the rear roller to prevent the roller from expanding due to heat and scratching the roller surface.

3. When adjusting the spacing, it should be done evenly on both sides. The roller spacing should not be zero during the rubber mixing process to avoid damaging the rollers.

4. During hot pressing and tabletting, the roller spacing should be gradually reduced from large to small. During plasticizing, the roller spacing should be gradually increased from small to large. The rubber block should not be too large, not exceeding 1Kg, and should be preheated. Additives should be added from the transmission end when adding materials. After the rubber material is wrapped around the rollers, continue to add materials. During formal production, each addition should be limited to 35Kg.

5. During rubber mixing, when the roller temperature is high, the plasticity of the raw rubber begins to increase, and there may be a vulcanization package on the roller, affecting the output. Therefore, attention should be paid to preventing this during operation.
