The customer is a specialized automotive seal manufacturer based in East China, primarily supplying rubber sealing products (such as door seals, oil seals, etc.) to well-known domestic and international automotive brands. The company operates a semi-automated production line where the main equipment remains in stable condition. However, the lack of automation in the loading and unloading processes has hindered overall line efficiency, resulting in a 15% lower hourly output than theoretical capacity. Additionally, the reliance on extensive manual labor for repetitive tasks has become a major bottleneck for cost control and production capacity expansion.
Our engineering team conducted an on-site inspection of the customer's facility. Based on the workshop layout and existing challenges, we proposed a precise and efficient retrofit solution: customizing a dedicated elevator to replace the traditional equipment.
The retrofit of this single critical component—the elevator—enhanced the coherence of the entire production line and achieved the goal of fully automated production.
"Junlin Machinery's lean transformation has completely revolutionized our production process. A minor adjustment in a limited area has led to an overall efficiency improvement. Our workshop is now more organized and cleaner, and production efficiency has significantly increased. This was indeed a transformation with modest investment but substantial returns."
